Philadelphia: Documentaries / Films

A guide to finding information about the city

Films from the Philadelphia Dept. of Records

Philadelphia Department of Records YouTube channel

The Philadelphia City Archives includes films produced by various City departments, and is pleased to make these historic films available for public viewing at the Philadelphia Department of Records YouTube channel. The films range from footage of VeteransStadium under construction to "Song of Philadelphia" with narration by Dick Clark, to "Important People", an overview of all the people who worked to make public transportation available in Philadelphia. While extensive information is available for some films, the data on other films is limited to a simple description of the subject matter.
