Gather the information you have about the course to get the titles of the required textbooks and other materials you are seeking. TIP: If you are searching for a specific edition of a book use the ISBN search. The International Standard Book Number is used in publishing to identify a book. You can find the ISBN using the BN Bookstore's Textbook Search or Worldcat.org.
Here are some places to look for your textbooks. Start at TUPortal.
1. Login to TUPortal, then go to the Student Tools tab. Under REGISTRATION you can click on Student Roster (right hand side).
Next, click the "visit the bookstore site to view course materials for your courses" link to find the books and materials by course:
2. You can search for the book information using the Textbook Search from the Barnes & Noble Temple Bookstore website. You can search by class or book title. For example, if you want the 9th edition of Global Business Today for Fundamentals of International Business (IB 3101- 702) you can search by class or title.
3. You can also use the Temple Class Schedule search and click on the "visit the bookstore site to view course materials for your courses" link to find the books that are required.
4. Another option is to review your Course Syllabus handout or electronic document in Blackboard for your class. Required textbooks and supplementary materials are often listed on that document.
Write down the Title, Author, Publication Date, ISBN (International Standard Book Number) and edition. Now you are ready to search in the Diamond catalog or Summon. Tip: Diamond is more efficient for book searches.
