Find Textbooks

Tools for finding if textbooks for courses are available in and through the Temple University Libraries (TUL).

Search E-ZBorrow and ILLiad

Be aware that recently published textbooks may not be available from other local colleges or universities because they are needed for the students at those colleges/universities. Older editions are sometimes available.

You can search the Interlibrary Loan services E-ZBorrow and ILLiad to see if it is possible to request your textbook. Links can be found on the library website under Quick Links.

If Temple does not have a textbook or if it is checked out, you can try requesting it through E-ZBorrow.  You login to the E-ZBorrow system with your Temple ID number (nine digits).  It lets you search over 60 Pennsylvania academic libraries who could lend materials to Temple.  Books are received in about 3-5 business days.  Loans are for 12 weeks, with no renewals.  E-ZBorrow materials are listed on your TU Library Account.

You can try requesting the textbook through ILLiad if it is not available in the E-ZBorrow system.  You login to the ILLiad system with your TU AccessNet login and password.  All due dates, renewal periods, and special conditions for material borrowed are set by the lending institution. Material borrowed via ILLiad is subject to recall at any time.  ILLiad material is not listed on your TU Library Account.  Materials obtained through ILLiad can only be managed through your ILLiad account.

If your book is not available through interlibrary loan, consider trying the Free Library of Philadelphia.
