Electronic Devices and Technology at Ginsburg: Laptops for loan

Ginsburg Library has laptops and Chromebooks for loan.

Laptop and Chromebook Borrowing Summary

Laptops may only be borrowed by active, Health Science Campus Students.

A document of agreement must be signed before borrowing any electronic devices.

  • Laptops and Chromebooks can go out overnight, due back the following day.
  • Devices borrowed on a Friday, will be due back the following Monday. 
  • Devices can be renewed twice.
  • Any personal information stored on the laptop will be erased.

Returning 

  • Can be done anytime the library is open. All components must be returned at the same time.
  • Loss or damage to the Laptop must be reported.
  • Borrowers are subject to the cost of replacement, as outlined in the Electronic Device Borrowing agreement.
  • Late fees: 48 hours late is considered overdue and the cost of replacing the device and accessories will be charged.

What's on a Laptop?

Laptops run on Windows 10 operating system. They come with a power cord.

Carrying cases are available upon request.

Content saved on the laptop will be wiped clean when the laptop is turned off or shuts down automatically, including anytime the laptop lid is shut.

Microsoft Office 2016, this includes:

  • Diagnostic Image Collection

Chromebooks

Google Chromebooks run on Google's Chrome Operating System and are built for Google's Chrome browsing. They are designed to be primarily used with an internet connection.
