    The African American Biographical Database (AABD) brings together in one resource the biographies of thousands of African Americans, many not to be found in any other reference source. Sketches assembled from reliable biographical dictionaries.
  • African American Experience (AAE)  
      
    AAE includes the full-text of 300+ reference works, 60+ book titles, audio clips, images, maps and photographs, as well as over 4,000 interviews with former slaves from the WPA slave narratives project. Excellent mix of secondary and primary sources.
  • Black Studies Center  
      
    The Black Studies Center includes the Schomburg Studies on the Black Experience, a series of essays about the development of Black Studies, "required" readings in the field, a timeline, video, and still images.

  • Columbia International Affairs Online (CIAO)  
      
    CIAO publishes scholarship from 1991 onward that includes working papers from university research institutes, occasional papers series from NGOs, foundation-funded research projects, proceedings from conferences, books, journals and policy briefs.
  • Homeland Security Digital Library

  • Contemporary Women's Issues  
      
    Provides access to global information on women. Journals, newsletters, research reports from non-profit groups, government and international agencies, along with fact sheets are easily accessed through CWI.
  • Ethnic NewsWatch  
      
    Full-text collection of newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press. Numerous articles, editorials, columns, reviews, etc. provide a broad diversity of perspectives -- the other side of the story.
