JSTOR is the premier scholarly journal archive. The Arts and Sciences I-VII Collections currently offer full-text access to almost 130 core history journals dating back in some cases to the early twentieth century. - Periodicals Archive Online (PAO)

PAO is a "major online periodical archive that makes the [full-text] backfiles of periodicals in the humanities and social sciences available electronically." PAO currently offers access to over 500 journals spanning some 300 years. - Periodicals Index Online (PIO)

PIO is an "electronic index to millions of articles published in over 5,500 periodicals in the humanities and social sciences. It is unique in combining a broad subject base with deep chronological coverage going back over 300 years." - Project MUSE

Project MUSE, a joint venture of the Johns Hopkins Press and Milton S. Eisenhower Library, provides full-text access to the Press's scholarly journals. Well over 60 important history titles are included in the database. Coverage begins in 1995. - World History Collection

World History Collection consists of a subset of Ebsco's Academic Search Premier covering only the history journals. This database provides full-text access to 150 periodical titles, including many peer-reviewed journals, dating back to 1964.

Direct, full-text access to 20 of this publisher's history journals including Diplomatic History, Gender & History, Journal of Religious Studies, and The Journal of the Historical Society. - Cambridge Journals Online
Direct, full-text access to 26 of this publisher's history journals including Central European History, The Historical Journal, The Journal of African History, and Urban History. - History Compass
History Compass is an online peer-reviewed journal written by historians with undergraduate students in mind. It is unlike the other databases listed here in that it covers only a single journal title. Unique features of this database include RSS feeds, lists of the most read and cited articles, podcasts, and teaching and learning guides. (Cambridge Journals, above, also has RSS feeds.) - History of Science, Technology, and Medicine
International bibliography for the history of science, technology, and medicine and their influence on culture, from pre-history to the present. Covers 1975 to date. - Sage Journals Online
Although known primarily for its science periodicals, Sage Journals Online provides full-text access to eight important history titles including European History Quarterly, Indian Economic & Social History Review, Journal of Contemporary History, Journal of Urban History, The Medieval History Journal, Studies in History, and War in History.
