Use the TULibraries' databases listed below to find contemporary press coverage, domestic and foreign, about your chosen war and peace issue. LibraryPress Display is particularly recommended for browsing recent issues of international papers. If your contemporary war and peace issue has historical roots then consider searching the Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) database. It offers full-text translations of foreign news sources from all areas of the world back to 1941.

- Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) Daily Reports, 1941-1996
FBIS is an important digital archive of full-text translations of foreign news sources from all areas of the world. It contains translated transcripts of foreign radio and television broadcasts, news agency transmissions, newspapers, periodicals, and government statements. The reports contain political, military, economic, environmental, and sociological news and information.

Useful for searching online, Spanish-language news sources published over the past month. Use Spanish language keywords to retrieve Spanish-language news sources.
- Google News Archive
"News archive search provides an easy way to search and explore historical archives. In addition to helping you search, News archive search can automatically create timelines which show selected results from relevant time periods." Click on "Advanced archive search" to limit to Spanish-language only sources. I would also suggest limiting to "no price" articles.
- LexisNexis Academic
Search thousands of full-text, general-interest newspapers and magazines. Click red "News" tab. Choose "Portuguese Language News Combined" or "Spanish Language News, Combined" inside Sources dropdown box.
- Library PressDisplay
Temple-only database provides most recent 60 days of over 300 newspapers from around the world. The newspapers include the same content and are in the same format as the print edition of the newspaper, including full-color where applicable.
- ProQuest Newsstand
Full-text of hundreds of national, local, and international news sources, such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post. Includes top news, and arts, sports, business, and popular culture information. Searchable by subject, company, person, product, and geographic area.
