Temple University Libraries is proud to offer exciting streaming video databases: Dance in Video, Opera in Video, and Theatre in Video, These databases provide 24/7 access, anywhere there is an internet connection, to performances by and interviews of world-famous dancers, choreographers, musicians, and actors.  Be enchanted by Swan Lake, moved by Alvin Ailey's Witness, thrilled by Carmen, or transported heavenward with Celeste Aida sung by Luciano Pavarotti.

Dance in Video and Opera in Video, together with Theatre in Video, provide access to fabulous worldclass performances.  Enjoy!

 

  • Dance in Video  
      
    Dance in Video contains streaming video of 250 dance productions and documentaries, over 500 hours of footage, and encompasses a broad range of styles, such as ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, experimental , and improvisational dance performances.
  • Opera in Video  
      
    Includes operas such as Carmen with Maria Ewing conducted by Zubin Mehta, Julius Caesar with Janet Baker, Capriccio with Kiri Te Kanawa, Orlando Furioso with Marilyn Horne, Aida with Luciano Pavarotti, and The Rake’s Progress with Kiri Te Kanawa.
  • Theatre in Video  
      
    Contains over 250 plays, including the complete BBC Shakespeare Series, and over 100 documentaries concerning the art of Theater. See actors Laurence Olivier, Richard Dreyfuss, Walter Matthau, Meryl Streep, Anthony Hopkins and more.
