Selected Films (a Playlist created in Films on Demand)

1. Films on Demand is a library of thousands of streaming videos across all disciplines from Films Media Group. All Temple users can search and view films or specific segments of films. If you establish a user account from within Films on Demand you can also create playlists from the various films/segments for your own use or for sharing with other Temple users.

2. This is a relatively new database and the searching is a bit klunky.  Be patient.  Use both the search and browse features.  You can view the results lists by Title or by Segment.

    Database of the American Theological Library Association. Though western-oriented, contains articles on Asian religions. Good for articles comparing eastern and western religions.

    Full-text studies from major Asian research institutes. Search features are rather primitive. Refer to Search Help.
  • Asian Studies Online: Social Sciences  
      
    Full-text studies from major Asian research institutes. Search features are rather primitive. Refer to Search Help.
  • Academic Search Premier  
      
    Very large multidisciplinary database. Covers all disciplines and time periods. Narrow results by using the indexes to left of search results screen.
  • JSTOR  
      
    Large database of scholarly articles. In Advanced Search, scroll down to limit search by subject area. Select the check box "Article" to exclude book reviews. To exclude older articles, put in a date range.
  • Oxford Scholarship Online  
    A database of online books from Oxford University Press. Includes philosophy, psychology, and religion books.
  • Project Muse  
    A full-text multidisciplinary database of scholarly journals. Includes philosophy, religion, and psychology and psychiatry.
