Finding Reliable Background Information

To explore the background of a particular social issue, CQ Researcher is a great starting point.

Each report is written by an experienced journalist, fact checked, and contains a historical overview, pro/con viewpoints, and extensive footnotes to related resources.  Full reports are typically 20-25 pages long; shorter "hot topics" reports provide updates when required by current events.
