“Alt-Agency” Social Media

In the wake of the election of President Trump, a large number of “alt” or “rogue” accounts purportedly operated by employees of government agencies who are frustrated by changes initiated by the new administration appeared on Twitter and other social media. Included here is a selection of such accounts related to federal agencies involved with various aspects of climate change. The Trump administration has subpoenaed Twitter Inc. to identify the users operating some such accounts; thus far, the company has resisted.
