I am the Art & Architecture Learning and Research Services Librarian at Temple University Libraries, where I liaise to Tyler School of Art + Architecture and the German Studies Department. I support the art, architecture, and German literature and language research needs of the university community. I arrived at Temple University Libraries in 2009 from the Adam & Sophie Gimbel Design Library at the New School in NYC, where I served as a Reference and Instruction Librarian. I have a dual master’s in the History of Art & Design, and Library & Information Science from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and a bachelor’s degree majoring in both Art, with Art History concentration, and German from Fort Hays State University in my hometown of Hays, Kansas.
In the classroom I experiment with creative and interactive pedagogical models, and frequently incorporate mindfulness practices such as meditation and yogic instruction. I self-publish a semi-annual zine titled ArtTickle.
My current research interests include research data management in the visual arts, and parental leave policies at GLAM institutions.
