The Ginsburg Library recently added a second printer. The new printer is a Stratasys uPrint SE. There are many benefits to the Stratasys printer compared with the Makerbot, but the major benefit is the availability of dissolvable support materials. Dissolvable support materials means that the printer can print more complex models and not have to worry about removing the support material. Completed models are placed in a water bath solution that dissolves the support material.
