When beginning a project, the Auto Adjust button (located in the Adjust tab) will will take care of a lot of fine tuning for you:
Use the magnifier (located in the Home tab) so look at text and images close up without having to zoom in:
When you are done with a microfilm reel, use the rewind button. To activate it, open the drawer so that the panes of glass are separated.
Below are some common performance issues that can be quickly fixed using buttons in the "Adjust" tab:
Text and images appear backwards
Text and images appear as white on black
Document is upside down or sideways
Document is crooked
Text and images are blurry
