What is ArcGIS StoryMaps

ArcGIS StoryMaps is a web-based application developed by Esri that allows users to combine maps, multimedia, and narrative text to create interactive, visually engaging stories. It is designed to make geographic information accessible and meaningful to diverse audiences by turning spatial data into storytelling experiences.

Features of ArcGIS StoryMaps

1. Interactive Mapping: Enables users to embed dynamic, interactive maps created in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Pro.

Access ArcGIS StoryMaps

Temple University students, faculty and staff can access ArcGIS StoryMaps thorugh ArcGIS Online using their AccessNet username and password. To access ArcGIS StoryMaps and start creating your own, follow this steps:

1. Go to arcgis.com and click on 'sign in' sign in button screenshot

2. Click on 'Your ArcGIS Organization's URL' and type 'temple' in the text box. Then click 'Continue'.

3. Enter your AccessNet username and password and click 'Login'

4. Follow the instructions to validate the two factor authentication.

5. Click on the 'Applications" button located on the top menu bar on the left side of your account info.

6. Click on the 'ArcGIS StoryMaps' icon.
