Graphic Novels, Comic Books, and Sequential Art

Use this guide as a starting point for information on graphic novels, comic books, and other sequential art. Included is a guide to locating these materials in the Libraries as well as reference, database, and internet resources relating to the form.

Find Comics at Temple

The library has a growing collection of graphic novels and comic books, as well as secondary sources related to the genre. Most of the print books can be found on the fourth floor of Charles Library between the call number range PN6700 and PN6790. There's also a small collection in the leisure reading collection of Charles Library, located on the first floor. Still more are located in the BookBot.

Most of the collection, whether technically considered a graphic novel or not, will be found by using the Library Search.

Search tip #1: In Advanced Search, try a 'Genre' search using the phrase, "graphic novels". Add additional keywords related to sub-topics as necessary (e.g. animals, family, depression, etc.).
