Subject librarians and specialists at the library can help you learn more about generative AI tools and how they can assist you in your research, working with data, and producing scholarship. See the library's list of subject librarians and specialists.

Staff at the Center for the Advancement of Teaching offer pedagogical and educational technology consultations to help Temple instructors revise courses and assignments. They can also help with using generative AI as a teaching tool.

Temple students can make an appointment with a writing tutor for writing help in English or Spanish. Temple instructors can consult with Student Success Center staff for help with teaching writing in the context of generative AI.

The Libraries offer an extensive schedule of free, public workshops on research tools and techniques every semester.

The Center for the Advancement of Teaching's report on Turnitin's AI writing detection tool found that it could have
value in certain limited situations, and should be used with an abundance of caution. It is often inaccurate and does not allow the ability to verify the results. Turnitin's tool appeared to be better than other tools currently available.

For Fall 2023, Turnitin’s AI detector tool will be available for you if you wish to use it. You must request access and complete a brief asynchronous training before the tool will be enabled. The training will provide guidance on how to interpret inaccurate and ambiguous results. Please login at tuhelp.temple.edu and select the "Turnitin AI Detector" option to submit your request.
