PolicyMap is a web-based mapping and analytics platform that allows users to explore and visualize a wide range of social, economic, and health data for the United States. It includes data from government sources, as well as from private companies. PolicyMap is a good option for users interested in understanding the social and economic conditions of different communities in the United States.
Access PolicyMap through the Temple University Libraries website. Just type "PolicyMap" in the library's search bar or in the Find a Database and, under database click on the link to PolicyMap.

Policy Map is a web-based Geographic Information System that provides a simple mechanism for visualizing data. Available data includes demographics, home sale statistics, health data, mortgage trends, school performance scores and labor data like unemployment, crime statistics and city crime rates.
Creating a personal account allows you to save maps and datasets onto PolicyMap's server for private or collaborative use.
To create you personal account:
1. Click on "Create Personal Account" on the top right corner of the map.
2. Enter your email address, first and last name and create a password.
3. Verify your account following the instructions in the email.
