The Formlabs Form 3BL is a large SLA 3D printer that utilizes a laser which cures liquid resins to create 3D objects. Designed for medical 3D printing, the Form 3BL can print objects as large as 33.5 × 20.0 × 30 cm (or 13.2 × 7.9 × 11.8 in). As it uses a laser array to solidify the resins, it has a minimum resolution of 25 microns, both on the XY axes and in layer height. Its resin library is larger than other models, as it can make use of any other Formlabs resins in addition to medically-oriented specialty resins with FDA master files (to help expedite the FBA exception process for 3D objects intended to be used clinically).
