Reports 1 & 2: Background/Overviews

Reference works, i.e. encyclopedias and dictionaries, are an excellent source of general overviews, biographies, explanations, surveys, facts, and bibliographies. Use these to start your research and to find other sources of information.

Report 3: Databases for Peer-Reviewed Articles

When searching for scholarly journal articles, try one of the databases below. Limit your results to just academic journals in order to filter out popular sources (like newspapers and magazines). Remember to search for keywords for your topic, and to join your keywords with the word AND (e.g., search for gender AND qing).
