Open Educational Practices

This guide provides information about Open Educational Resources, or OER, including how to find, evaluate, and teach with them.

Engage in SoTL and OER

The Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) is “research focused on teaching and learning and which invites you to systematically examine your classroom practices, improve your teaching based on your findings, and share your results with your colleagues...” (Temple University’s Center for the Advancement of Teaching). Consider adding to the scholarly literature by studying open education and its impact on learners.

Where to Publish and/or Present

Consider publishing in journals in your discipline, in higher education journals, or in journals related to open scholarship, like the ones below:
