Whether you're just starting out and need a nutshell or you need the in-depth coverage of a treatise, the Law Library has the Civil Procedure class resources you need. Request any of these titles at the library desk. For more assistance, ask a librarian!

Federal Rules of Civil Procedure

Nutshells -- the basics

Nutshells are the briefest overview of a particular topic in law. Get your bearings with a nutshell.

Hornbooks -- full outline of topic with detail

Hornbooks cover subjects in more detail than nutshells. These resources will explain the structure and operation of an area of law.

Treatises -- in-depth treatment

A treatise covers an area of law in great detail. Usually multi-volume sets, treatises offer explanation, commentary, and citations to primary sources.
