Since Temple University Libraries is an institutional member of ORCID, you can securely sign in to the ORCID Registry using your Temple AccessNet credentials. Simply:
Visit the ORCID Sign in / Register page
Select the Sign in through your institution option
Search for Temple University
Select the Sign in with this organization option
After signing in, you will be given the option to:
Link your Temple credentials to your existing ORCID record
Create a new linked ORCID record (for free)
Access your ORCID record which you have already linked
NOTE: You should list multiple email addresses on your ORCID profile so that if you leave Temple, you will not lose access to your ORCID account.
If you forgot your password, you can reset it or sign in with your Temple credentials via the “Sign in with an institutional account” option. Do not register for more than one ORCID iD. This defeats the purpose and fragments your work and scholarly presence.

If you have an accidental duplicate ORCID iD, you can fix this by doing the following steps:
Sign in to ORCID using the record you want to keep, and go to your Account Settings
Scroll down to Account actions and click on Remove a duplicate record
Enter the sign-in details (email address or ORCID iD and password) for the record you want to deprecate then click Remove duplicate record
Click Remove duplicate record, read the instructions, and confirm that you wish to remove the record

If you have lost access to your previously registered email, you will need to contact ORCID support and include:
Your name
ORCID iD you think may belong to you
Your formal Temple email address you registered with
A current institutional or work email address (if possible)
To prevent this from happening, you should list multiple email addresses on your profile so that if you leave Temple, you will not lose access to your ORCID account.
