Temple University is a member of the Qualitative Data Repository (QDR), a dedicated archive for storing and sharing qualitative and mixed-method research data for the social sciences and related fields.

What is QDR?

The Qualitative Data Repository (QDR) is a dedicated archive for storing and sharing qualitative and mixed-method research data. QDR staff specialize in qualitative research data and can assist Temple researchers throughout the research process. 

Temple researchers can share research data in QDR to satisfy publisher and funder requirements. QDR is a CoreTrustSeal certified repository and can host restricted-access sensitive data.

Temple University Libraries is a QDR member institution and is eligible for a limited number of no-cost data deposits per year. Contact QDR (qdr@syr.edu) as early as possible in the research process for help planning an eventual deposit.

QDR data may be used for secondary analysis and in teaching. The QDR website also has useful instructional materials for teaching about qualitative research methodologies and data management.
