Livingstone Undergraduate Research Awards

Honors the best research projects produced each year by Temple University undergraduates.

How To Apply

Applicants should have the following materials ready prior to applying:

  1. Completed project OR Rough draft of project with work plan for completion.
  2. Name and contact information for faculty mentor associated with project (or, for GenEd prize, name and contact information for the course instructor)
  3. Complete research essay. In 500 words or less, please address the prompts below:
    1. Describe your research process. As you do so, explain:
      • Using specific examples, describe the library resources (for example, databases or 
        journals, staff) that you used in your research. 
      • How did you evaluate the quality and usefulness of these sources in supporting your research?
      • What were the challenges or difficulties that you encountered on your library research journey?
      • How did you overcome these?
    2. Is there anything you learned about conducting library research that will serve you in the future?
  4. Complete and submit the application form by February 26, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time)
