Search Tips

To get the best results for your movement or issue, try these tips:

  • search for a person as both a keyword and an author in order to find sources both about them and by them
  • put a person's name in quotation marks (i.e., "Harvey Milk") to get the most relevant results
  • look for sources not just about a specific person, but about the organizations they are affiliated with, other activists in the same movement, context about the time period, etc.
