Congressional hearing transcripts may also be found on individual House and Senate committee websites, or in print in the library (search for the title of a hearing and limit to Resource Type = "Govenment Document"). Before looking for hearing transcripts, it is a good idea to check your legislation on Congress.gov. Look under the Actions tab (select "All Actions except Amendments") to see if any hearings occurred. Most proposed legislation does not actually become law, and there may not have been any hearings.
