ICPSR Summer Program in Quantiative Methods
Since 1963 the ICPSR Summer Program has taught a comprehensive, integrated curriculum of statistics, data analysis, and other social science methodologies. It takes place June-August and most classes are held at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. There are also 3-5 day workshop and online attendance options. Sessions and workshops on quantitative methods are also sometimes offered. Temple university students, staff, and faculty are eligible for the discounted ICPSR member tuition rate and there are many scholarships available. The scholarship applicatation deadline is typically in late February.

Data Communication Scholarship

ICPSR Data Communication Scholarship

Since 2007, ICPSR’s annual research paper competition has showcased undergraduate and graduate student research papers that have used data archived at ICPSR. To better match what students are being asked to do in an era of more creative, less traditional assignments, starting in November 2023, students from ICPSR member institutions, such as Temple University, can apply to win for creating a short video about a study in the ICPSR catalog.
