LGBTQ Health and Medicine Resources: Community Resources

This organization is part of Temple University School of Medicine's Office of Health Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. The Task Force’s 140 members represent a wide variety of disciplines from the Health System and School. These members sit on nine subcommittees that work to continuously improve the environment, opportunities, services and policies for the LGBTQ community.

This spreadsheet includes the names and email addresses of LGBTQ-friendly healthcare providers in the Temple Health system. Unfortunately it does not include their specialty or area of practice.

The Mazzoni Center provides comprehensive and quality healthcare to and social services to LGBTQ patients. They offer primary medical care, mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment services, legal services, and HIV prevention & care.

The William Way LGBT Community Center encourages, supports and advocates for the well-being and acceptance of sexual and gender minorities in the Greater Philadelphia region through service, recreational, educational and cultural programming.

A program of the Mazzoni Center, the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference is an annual conference in Center City Philadelphia. It offers a space for trans people, allies, families, and providers to come together and re-envision what health and wellness mean for trans people.

The LGBT National Help Center is a non-profit organization that provides peer-support, community connections and resource information to people with questions regarding sexual orientation and/or gender identity. They operate several hotlines, an online chat service, and moderated chatrooms.

The Trevor Project is a national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25. They offer online and in-person training workshops and information on their website.
