LGBTQ Health and Medicine Resources: Find A Provider

You can use Temple Health's "Find a Doctor" tool to find doctors who specialize in LGBTQ Health. Click the "Specialty" dropdown menu and select "LGBTQ Health", then finish your search.

This spreadsheet includes the names and email addresses of LGBTQ-friendly healthcare providers in the Temple Health system. Unfortunately it does not currently include their specialty or area of practice.

Search GLMA’s online Provider Directory for LGBT-friendly primary care providers, specialists, therapists, dentists and other health professionals.

Use the Healthcare Equity Index (HEI) to find LGBTQ-friendly hospitals. Click "Select State" and select your state to find a list of hospitals in that state. Each hospital is given a score out of 100 based on if and how they follow the HEI's policies.

This interactive map from the Human Rights Campaign lists over 1,600 healthcare facilities found in the 2019 Healthcare Equality Index. These facilities have adopted the LGBT inclusive policies from the Core Four: Non-discrimination and staff training; LGBT patient services and support; LGBT patient and community engagement; and employee benefits and policies. Pennsylvania has 19 facilities ranked as HEI 2019 Leaders in LGBT Healthcare Equality, including Temple University Hospital.

The Association for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling division of the American Counseling Association will soon have a list of LGBT-friendly therapists and mental health professionals.
