Search the Center for Research Libraries' (CRL) catalog to find vast collections of books, newspapers, microforms, journals, foreign dissertations, and other materials.  Request items via Interlibrary Loan.

Find Dissertations

Need to find a doctoral dissertation or master's thesis? Use the following sources, and request copies via Interlibrary Loan.  Additional information on locating dissertations and theses is available here.

Find Temple Dissertations & Theses

Temple Dissertations & Theses are available in multiple formats in various places. See below.

  • Library Depository (off-site storage). All print dissertations are in the Library Depository. From within the dissertation record in Library Search: The Libraries' Catalog, click the "Request" button to have a dissertation delivered.
    • Search tip:

      Do a Keyword search using the following format:
      "temple university theses" [your keyword(s) here]

      Examples: "temple university theses" philosophy // "temple university theses" baseball

      Note: a search using the phrase "temple university theses" will find both Masters theses and PhD dissertations
      Note: While the library should hold all PhD dissertations, it does not hold all Masters theses
