NVivo is a commercial qualitative research tool that allows advanced coding, analysis, and visualization for qualitative data. Understanding NVivo License pre NVivo 14 versions. Link is to Windows version. Click on NVivo Mac for MacOS information. NVivo interface changed in 2020 and the term Code is now used instead of Node, among other changes.

NVivo has free Gettings Started tutorials that cover features of the Mac and Windows versions and other video tutorials on their YouTube channel.

NVivo offers free live and on-demand webinars on qualitative research methods. Lumivero, the makers of NVivo, also host a free, virtual, annual conference that includes many workshops and training sessions.

For the NVivo 2020 release. The 36 short videos cover all tasks, from getting started, coding, setting up and classifying cases, to queries and reporting. These videos are also applicable to NVivo 14, which was released in March 2023.

This video demonstrates how to correctly set up your literature for review, screening, or synthesis in NVivo and addresses some common mistakes made during this process. Note that Zotero is free and can be used instead of Citavi, which is an NVivo fee-based service. Also, you can create your own coding scheme (create codes with hierarchy), for coding literature, rather than generating them using Citavi.
