Why share qualitative data?

Sharing qualitative data amplifies the impact of your research by increasing transparency, supporting reproducibility, and facilitating cross-disciplinary collaborations. It allows researchers to comply with funder and publisher mandates and enriches the scholarly community by making it possible to address complex questions with existing data. Sharing qualitative data can also serve pedagogical purposes, enhance research training, and minimize research fatigue among study populations.

Data sharing is easiest when data management and sharing plan is established as early as possible in the research process.
